Saturday, July 26, 2008Print this Press ReleaseJuly 26, 2008 LED Christmas Lights Holiday lights using the LED technology are extremely Earth-friendly and are also considered to be far safer for use on Christmas trees than their traditional counterparts. Because they do not ever get hot to the touch, regardless of how long they're turned on or plugged in, there's never a danger of fire when used next to something as combustible as both live and artificial Christmas trees. According to recent statistics, the hundreds of fires in the home during the holiday season each and every year almost always begin in, or just near the tree, causing deaths, injuries, and millions of dollars in property damages. However, the risk of fire is significantly reduced when using LED lights on the tree or to illuminate the home during the holidays due to no heat being produced. As far as cost is concerned, based on 30 days of constant usage, LED lights will, on average, cost a mere ten percent of what traditional Christmas lighting would normally be. Meaning, if the total electricity costs to light a home for the holidays was $60 for one season with incandescent lights, the price would be reduced to $6 using the same amount of LED lights. Most LED Christmas lights are on tangle-resistant wire, which makes decorating the tree a joy when compared to dealing with bundles of knotted strands of lights after getting the box of Christmas decorations down from the attic each year. Also, because these type of lights are extremely durable, especially when compared to the regular lights people have always used for years to light up the Christmas tree, there's no worry of a single bulb burning out, or causing the entire strand to not work, or having any broken glass to clean up either. For Christmas light outdoor displays, there's no worry about LED lights breaking or becoming damaged by the elements as they are able to withstand high winds, rain, sun, even strong tremors caused by earthquakes.
